Low emissions package for a cleaner future

ClearTec is Mitsubishi's collective name for the technological innovations featured in ASX, Colt and other Mitsubishi vehicles which result in reduced emissions. This includes Automatic Stop & Go, alternator Generation Control System, efficient tyre technology and regenerative braking - all of which are designed for low power consumption and, consequently, lower emissions.

Please note that not all the features below are present on all ClearTec enhanced models.

 

AUTO STOP & GO (ASG)

Automatically stops the engine when you come to a stop, select neutral and release the clutch pedal - the engine then starts again as soon as the clutch pedal is depressed.

GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR

Displays optimized gear shifting points to the driver to encourage fuel efficient driving whilst also reducing CO2 emissions.

MODIFIED FINAL DRIVE GEAR RATIO

Will result in less engine revs for any given speed compared to normal models.

LOW ROLLING RESISTANCE TYRES

Run with increased pressure and optimized tread pattern to reduce drag.

HIGH EFFICIENCY ALTERNATOR

Charges the battery during engine braking, reducing the load on the engine and improving fuel economy.

OPTIMIZED ENGINE

Is designed to reduce internal friction using low viscosity oil.
