Low environmental-impact MIVEC diesel engine

The ASX features a brand new diesel engine - a low impact, Euro 5 compliant 1.8 litre engine which benefits from numerous innovative technologies including high-efficiency combustion characteristics, a brand new turbocharger and MIVEC variable valve timing. This may not sound that exciting but it's the first time a variable valve system has been incorporated into a diesel passenger car and it makes it notably more refined as well as improving output.

This brand new compact car with a conscience is highly emission intelligent. It offers a choice of low-environment impact petrol or diesel engines, both of which feature the Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system and the ClearTec package of low emission technologies. We call this Intelligent Motion, click the icon to find out more about Intelligent Motion and what it means.

Interior & Equipment

The ASX is as stylish on the inside as it appears from the outside and is the ultimate example of Mitsubishi's decades of expertise in maximising the use of space. It has a capacious boot with large underfloor tray, a 60:40 split rear bench seat with an adjustable back rest, armrest with ski slot and an easy-fold to flat facility so that you have the versatility to match your ever-changing needs.Equipment is generous and entry-level models come with manual air conditioning, seven airbags and stability and traction control, whilst models further up the range include climate control air conditioning, cruise control, rain and dusk sensors, satellite navigation, Bluetooth hands- free 'phone connection, privacy glass, engine stop-start button and full leather upholstery.
