MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT, AS TALENTED AS IT IS TOUGH
Added: 08 February 2019
The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport has been built for people looking for a large seven-seat SUV with true off-road capability. Tried and tested in the Australian Outback, the Shogun Sport is right at home when the going gets tough.
The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport retains the brand’s reputation for ruggedness and durability, delivering outstanding all-terrain performance even in extreme conditions. When you fancy tackling the rough stuff, the off-road capability comes from Mitsubishi’s renowned Super Select II 4WD system which is fitted with lockable centre and rear differentials. The system incorporates a low range transfer case along with various terrain selections such as sand, gravel, mud/snow and rock. For maximum control the Shogun Sport is also fitted with a hill descent control system.
Thanks to its all-aluminium 2.4-litre turbo-diesel engine, 430Nm of low-end torque is available from 2,500rpm. With a ground clearance of 218mm, an approach angle of 30 degrees, a departure angle of 24.2 degrees and a wading depth of 700mm, the Shogun Sport has been designed to tackle the toughest conditions and steep inclines with relative ease, proving it’s the real deal when you go off the beaten track.
Interior space is generous with ample legroom in all seven seat positions along with a generous level of standard specification including 18” alloy wheels, reverse camera and an audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Safety remains paramount, as the Shogun Sport is fitted with a plethora of safety systems including blind spot warning, front collision mitigation, hill start assistance and a trailer stability assistance system.
The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport SUV is a true off-road vehicle with a towing capacity of 3.1-tonnes and with prices starting from £37,775 on the road, there has never been a better time to book a test drive.
